How to fully reinstall Apple Components (Windows PC)

Description:

You are still experiencing connection issues or crashes after installing the latest version of iTunes, and reinstalling Mobile Devices Services from iMazing's preferences:

Edit > Preferences... > General > Reinstall Mobile Device Services.

 

Solution 1: Uninstall iTunes and Apple components

Fully reinstall Apple components, iTunes and iMazing by following the steps below:

  1. Uninstall iMazing
  2. If you have iTunes, uninstall it (or see “Solution 2” paragraph for iTunes installed from the Microsoft Store)
  3. Uninstall Apple Software Update (if installed)
  4. Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support (if installed)
  5. Uninstall Bonjour (if installed)
  6. Uninstall Apple Application Support 32 bits (if installed)
  7. Uninstall Apple Application Support 64 bits (if installed)
  8. Remove the following folders if they still exist after uninstalling all Apple components:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Application Support
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Application Support
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
  9. Remove the following folders if they exist:
    C:\ProgramData\DigiDNA\iMazing\AppleDrivers
    C:\ProgramData\DigiDNA\iMazing\MobileDevice

  10. Restart the computer
  11. Install iTunes standalone version for Windows 32 or 64 bit (if you need it):
  12. Reinstall iMazing

 

Solution 2: Uninstall iTunes downloaded from the Microsoft Store and install iTunes standalone:

Solution 3: Remove iOS pairing records stored on your computer

  1. Forget your device in iMazing (if the device is displayed in iMazing, search for the Forget action on the device info view)
  2. Quit iMazing
  3. Remove the following folder from your computer's hard drive if it exists:
    C:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown\
