How to fully reinstall Apple Components on Windows (PC)

Description:

You are still experiencing connection issues or crashes after installing the latest version of iTunes, and reinstalling Mobile Devices Services from iMazing's preferences:

Edit > Preferences... > General > Reinstall Mobile Device Services.

Solution 1:

Fully reinstall Apple components, iTunes and iMazing by following the steps below:

  1. Uninstall iMazing: Please note this won't affect your iOS backups, iMazing preferences or data stored on your computer by iMazing.
  2. Disable your antivirus or security tools. Some antivirus softwares are preventing iMazing from downloading or installing Apple mobile device components.
  3. Remove the following folders if they exist:
    C:\ProgramData\DigiDNA\iMazing\AppleDrivers
    C:\ProgramData\DigiDNA\iMazing\MobileDevice
Please note that ProgramData is a hidden folder so you must display hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer, here is how https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-10-97fbc472-c603-9d90-91d0-1166d1d9f4b5
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Reinstall iMazing, this will automatically reinstall all required Apple components and drivers.

Solution 2: Try to install or reinstall iTunes standalone version.

This will automatically reinstall all required Apple components and drivers.

Make sure to choose the right iTunes version depending on your Windows version and CPU architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).

Solution 3: Remove iOS pairing records stored on your computer

  1. Forget your device in iMazing (if the device is displayed in iMazing, search for the Forget action on the device info view)
  2. Quit iMazing
  3. Remove the following folder from your computer's hard drive if it exists:
    C:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown\
