Bottom Toolbar Icons

In FileApp Pro version 3.2 we added a palette of fresh new features to our document viewers, including editing tools for images and bookmarking and annotation tools for PDFs. Here we explain the functions of the tools in our bottom toolbar.

1. Orientation Lock

This locks the screen to the current orientation. A "lock" symbol will appear in the middle of the icon when this is enabled. Once locked in Portrait mode, it will not switch to Landscape mode when your device is turned (and vice versa)

2. Document Bookmarks

Tapping this will open up a list of bookmarks saved in the document. Tapping on one of these bookmarks will navigate to the corresponding page.

3. Pages View

Tapping this will switch to a view of each page as a thumbnail. From here you can navigate to each page individually. You can also filter this view to show only bookmarked or annotated pages.

4. Edit Mode

Tapping this will bring up your editing tools. These include highlight, underscore, strikethrough, note, annotation, draw, and signature. You will need to tap "Done" to save the changes.

5. Bookmark

This shows the bookmark status of the current page. A filled icon indicate that the page is currently marked, while an empty icon indicates the contrary. Tapping the icon switches the pages bookmark status.

6. Brightness

This is the brightness tool. Tapping this brings up a slider to control the brightness.

7. Trash

This allows you to delete the document, without having to exit and use the files contextual menu. You will be prompted with a confirmation dialogue to ensure you don't accidentally delete an important file.
