iMazing does not recognise my device (Windows)

iMazing relies on Apple drivers to recognise your device. If iMazing does not recognise your device then it's very likely that your Apple drivers are not up to date.

 

iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

 

Step One

Try a different USB port and/or cable.

Step Two

The simplest way to update your Apple drivers is to install the latest version of iTunes?

Step Three

If that does not fix your issue, you please reinstall your Mobile Devices Services from iMazing's preferences:

Edit > Preferences... > General > Reinstall Mobile Device Services.

Step Four

As a last resort, please fully reinstall your Apple Components by following all of these steps, in order:

1. Uninstall iMazing
2. If you have iTunes, uninstall it
3. Uninstall Apple Software Update
4. Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
5. Uninstall Bonjour
6. Uninstall Apple Application Support 32 bits
7. Uninstall Apple Application Support 64 bits
8. Reboot your computer
9. If you need it, install iTunes from: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
10. Re-install iMazing: https://imazing.com/download

And if that does not work...

iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod Shuffle

These iPods works a bit differently than iOS Apple devices - if you are having trouble getting the device to show up in iMazing, please apply the following steps:

Step One

Try a different USB port and/or cable.

Step Two

1. Open iTunes and make sure your iPod shows up there.
2. Once iTunes picks up your iPod, select it and make sure the "Enable Disk Use" check box is checked.
3. Restart iMazing, your iPod should now show up after a few seconds.

Step Three

You most likely have an incomplete installation of Apple drivers.
